It's been nearly 2 months since we planted our first seeds and we've been seeing some good progress. You may recall that we started with a long list of vegetables. Well, the spinach didn't make it and one type of lettuce was eaten by the rabbits. But our green beans, tomatoes and peppers are really starting to pop up!
Here are the pepper plants. There are about 10 of them and 1 is just HUGE already.
And the green beans. The back row will be yellow bush beans and the front row is green.
Don't forget the herbs and flowers! From back left: Lavender, Celosia, cilantro, chives, parsley, basil. Clearly, the basil has won.
And now for the tomatoes! We have two plants in the garden, but these 3 are almost waist-high. Let's hope we can keep the squirrels and chipmunks out!
It's been so fun to check on the garden each and every day. It's been really great to learn this by trial and error. Let's hope we'll have some good BLT's, salads and more to show for it later this summer!
