A New Year

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a fabulous NYE. Last night I was able to ring in 2012 with some of my closest friends. We enjoyed cheese fondue, playing board games, laughed until we cried while playing Let's Dance 3 on the Wii. But mostly, I couldn't be happier to be surrounded by such wonderful people. I've worked really hard this past year on my relationships . . . making a better attempt at strengthening the healthy ones and being more okay with letting go of others.

Well, just like yours, my 2011 had its ups and downs. I don't want to dwell on the downs; let's just talk about the ups:
  • I traveled to Europe with my mom, realizing the dream we've had for over a decade.
  • My beautiful niece, Tory, was born on August 30th.
  • I learned what it was like to live alone . . .
  • But now greatly appreciate having a wonderful roommate!
  • I joined a new church and started attending a small group bible study.
  • Three of my very best friends were married this year and I was honored to be a part of the celebrations.
  • I've started a new relationship with someone thoughtful and fun - and I'm excited for what lies ahead for us in 2012.
I'm still sorting through my own resolutions . . . there may or may not be a future post detailing them out. But they all boil down to this:
